Research on the Aesthetic Influence of Art Design in Arts and Crafts Movement

The Arts and Crafts Movement is a call for the combination of art and technology. It was the reform of the design industry in the late 19th century in England, and was called the arts and handi crafts movement in the new century. Based on the development of social environment, ecological nature and ideological culture at that time, the local people carried out the art and design practice of handicrafts. Under the background of local social customs and humanistic spirit in England, people are dissatisfied with the design of mass-produced craft works such as furniture, daily necessities and buildings. At the same time, there is a strong resistance to the monopoly of the mechanized craftsmanship industry, thus the Arts and Crafts Movement broke out. Based on the art design in the Arts and Crafts Movement, the article discusses the aesthetic influence of its design ideas and ideology on modern design.
