| Abstract: | This essay explained that the basis of Chinese traditional culture was Taoism through following two aspects: Firstly, Taoism adopted the attitude of incorporation towards Chinese traditional culture; Secondly, it exerted a tremendous influence in the field of philosophy and society. Besides that, it elaborated modern value of Taoism via the discussion of personal life values, individual relations and the relation between human and nature. |
