科技制高点是跨越式发展的动力源泉,中国经济特别是中国铁路要实现跨越式发展,占领下一时代的科技制高点是关键。铁路一直是我国交通运输的骨干力量,但与其它运输方式相比,又有自身的缺点。轮轨高速铁路和磁悬浮铁路都可作为近期中国铁路跨越式发展的目标,但这两种模式即使算是跨越,也只是相对跨越。真空管道运输系统拥有现有几种交通运输方式的优点,同时克服它们所有的不足,因此,它是中国铁路跨越式发展的科技制高点和机会窗口。

Opportunity for the Leapfrog Development of Chinese Railway

Lead in science and technology,as the driving force,is the key to the leapfrog(development) of Chinese railway.Serving as the backbone of Chinese transportation,railway also has its own weak points. Compared with wheel and rail express railway and magnetic suspension railway,the evacuated tube transportation(ETT) has the strong points of other means of transportation and meanwhile overcomes their weak points,and therefore should be regarded as the lead in science and technology and the(opportunity) for the leapfrog development of Chinese railway.
