| Abstract: | Through Gu Zun's life, the article analyses the destiny of a Chinese intellectual as an official and old scholar. It sets forth that there is a way to be an official and writer as well. The present Chinese intellectuals have the embarrassment as well as the pursuit; the master of thinking comes from miseries and loneliness. Thought makes one a real person. |
