| Abstract: | Culture", as defined by Mao Zhi-dong, belongs to the category of "micro-culture",i.e. spiritual culture or conceptual culture. Mao Zhi-dong regards economy, politics and culture as the three distinct social elements and he puts much emphasis on the counter-effect of culture on economy and politics. "Civilization", in the viewpoint of Mao Zhi-dong, is the "macro-culture". Mao Zhi-dong's viewpoint of cultural value shows his inclination to favor actions, changes, struggles and innovations. |
