| Abstract: | What lies under the surface calmness of Chi Li＇s new realist novels is her kindly care of the characters in her novel,who actually stand for the true living state of common people in contemporary Chinese society in terms of their mundane narrations.These new realist novels unveil the novelist＇s thinking of real life and her concern for the mundane humanity diluted and veiled by modern media and prevailing ideological discourses. |
