Narrative modes in QU Yuan's works

The Songs of Chu State (or Chu Ci in Chinese) are characterized by lyricism with its features implied in the narration of episodes and of unique personal sufferings and feelings in modes strange enough to become one of the important constituents of QU Yuan's artistic achievements. And the ever-lasting artistic achievements of QU Yuan's works do find expression in the narrative modes for lyric poetry. The narrative modes of QU Yuan's works manifest themselves in an extreme disorder, in a comparison of the author himself to a female frequently coming into and going out of a land full of gods and ghosts, in the use of flowery narrraive language, and in a tragic narrative keynote, etc.
