An Analytical Review of the Blair's Diplomacy

The end of the Cold War made Britain's foreign policy faced with stern challenges.Tony Blair's Diplomacy took "New Internationalism" as the guiding ideology,focused in operation on the European Union and the United States,and emphasized the British role of "bridge" across the Atlantic so as to support Britain's status as a "pivotal power" in international politics.The operation of Blair's Diplomacy was relatively more active and daring and won some initial success.Nevertheless,Blair's Diplomacy failed to achieve the desired results because of the uncompromising inner contradictions existing in its policies towards the EU and the US.The Iraq War served as the "Waterloo" for Blair's Diplomacy and it bequeaths Britain the greatest diplomatic legacy in debt.
