论凯尔纳媒体文化研究的视野与方法

摘    要:面对复杂的媒体现象,凯尔纳倡导多元的文化观念,考察有关阶级、性别、性、族群等现象,审视荧幕形象如何建立、主流群体如何操控媒体、亚文化群体如何抵制主导意识形态等。凯尔纳将马克思主义、女性主义、结构主义、精神分析、阐释学等批评角度结合起来,对具体的媒体文化文本采取多重视角的研究。媒体文化处于政治、经济、社会的广阔构架中,凯尔纳采取政治经济学、文本分析、受众分析三种角度的分析模式对媒体文化加以解析。凯尔纳的文化研究摆脱了单一的专制做法,适应了后现代的差异性,为我们审视当代媒体文化提供了有益的启示。

Abstract:Faced with the complicated media,Douglas Kellner advocates a multi-dimension cultural concept.His studies on media culture examine the representations of social class,gender,sex,ethnicity and etc.,and check how a screen image is established,how a dominant group manipulates the media,and how the sub-culture groups resist the dominant ideologies.By integrating such theories as Marxism,feminism,structuralism,psychoanalysis and hermeneutics,Douglas Kellner studies the texts of media culture from multiple perspectives.By placing media culture in a political,economic and social framework,he develops an analysis model by combining political economics,textual analysis and audience analysis.The cultural studies by Douglas Kellner have given up the single autocratic methodology and accommodated to the diversity of pos-modernism,which carry beneficial implications in scrutinizing contemporary media culture.
