| Abstract: | Taking as an example the traditional urban streets at the lakeside in Hangzhou and those in Xitang region of Jiaxing, the paper focuses on the preservation of the spatial whole and the maintenance of the historical continuation, analyses the important role the landscape characteristic elements play in preserving the integral historical style and features of the traditional urban streets, and discusses the means of using the landscape characteristic elements. |
