| Abstract: | This paper probes into the effects of the position of transmission gear on static stiffness of the front end of machine-tool spindle, The existing conditions of infinite stiffness design points are ascertained. In addition, a method and a program for infinite stiffness design are worked out, and an example is given as well. |
