| Abstract: | The Buddhist view of temperament has exerted a tremendous influence on classical Chinese poetry. Both Wang Wei's idea of "Selfless State" and the Da Li Poets' idea of "Selfward State" are reflections of this view in poetic writing. Therefore the study of the Buddhist view of temperament is very significant to aesthetic understanding of classical Chinese poetry. |
