| 摘 要： | 诗体译法和散体译法是翻译中国古典诗词的两种主要方法,各有其利弊。诗体译法虽能较好地保留和再现原诗(词)的音韵之美,但也有其局限性。文章结合对许渊冲《汉英对照唐诗三百首》一书中译例的分析,阐明在诗体译法运用不当时可能产生的各种不足之处,并指出,两种译法不应互相对立、互相排斥,而应取长补短、互为弥补。

| Abstract: | Metrical translation and unmetrical translation are two major approaches to the translation of classic Chinese verse,each having its advantages and disadvantages.Although the former can better keep and reproduce the beauty of rhymes and rhythms of the original poems(or ci),it has its own limitations.Based on the analysis of the translations in the Bilingual Edition of 300 Tang Poems as are compiled and translated by Xu Yuanchong,the present paper identified and reflected on some negative impacts caused by improper metrical translation.The two approaches are not antagonistic but complementary. |
