| Abstract: | Professor Tan Zaixi's paper The Science of Translating Must Be Established is an article which has been exercising great influence in China's translation circle. This paper caused the Craze of Science of Translating and the arguement that translating is a science or an art. Unfortunately, we found that this paper of great importance and great influence is a paper which is self-contradictory and implausible. |
