| Abstract: | "Satan" Alec has induced Tess and she is looked down upon by the society,which doesn't destroy Tess.However,"Angel"Clare's gradual temptation is an invisible killer of smashing Tess's spirit.Even more, the justice that Angel has carried out to "the impure Tess" ultimately despairs Tess and results in her tragic fate. |
