| Abstract: | On the basis of the predecessors' researches on the ending sound "r" in Chongqing dialect, this paper makes a further study of its sound quality and its special position in the evolution of the morpheme "er", that is, the ending "r" in Chongqing dialect is on the transition stage from a content morpheme to an empty morpheme. |
