《会真记》与《左传》——兼论元稹传奇创作的动机

《会真记》与《左传》的相关章节不但情节相似,而且文辞也相同;元稹早年明经及第,从他准备考试的科目来看,内中很大可能就有《左传》。综上理由,元稹的《会真记》与其自身经历无关,而是其学习经学以备科考时,依据《左传》所作的读书心得,故文中的观点以及思路均依《左传》展开。元稹之所以特别选择《左传》,又缘于该书在唐代中期的特殊影响。《左传》关乎唐代中期的新《春秋》学、古文运动,元白倡导的新乐府运动,也是在同样的背景下发生。因之,元稹创作此文又有着自觉的政治创作动机。

Huizenji and Zuozhuan： Yuan Zhen＇s Motivation of Legend Writing

Huizhenji, a legend written by Yuan Zhen, is similar to Zuozhuan in plots and in rhetorics. In his early years Yuan Zhen applied to and passed the Imperial Examination, and the works he prepared for the Examination include Zuozhuan. We hence believe that Huizhenji is not based on Yuan Zhen＇s life experiences; instead, it is notes of his which explains why the book is much alike to Zuozhuan reading Zuozhuan during his preparation, both in themes and in narrative. Yuan＇s favor of Zuozhuan is due the book＇s special influences on the literary trends in mid Tang Dynasty including neo-studies of Spring and Autumn, classical writing movement and new Yuefu movement. It is with self-aware political motivation that Yuan Zhen wrote Huizhenji.
