| Abstract: | English idioms are the essence of English language and they have unique structural,semantic and cultural features.Understanding idioms＇ features from a multi-dimensional perspective can help English learners well understand English idioms and translate them into Chinese appropriately.This paper explores the variety of English idioms＇ idiomaticity from a multidimensional perspective,structural linguistics,cognitive linguistics and social linguistics,and explores some methods of translating English idioms into Chinese. |
