| 摘 要： | 双关语指在特定的语言环境中,利用词语的谐音或一词多义表达双重意义以达到某种修辞效果的语言现象。在英汉双关语转换过程中,有时很难将原语言的各种意义都翻译成目标语,造成一定程度的意义损失或转移。英语中“pun”和汉语中的“双关”本身不完全对等,语音双关和语义双关都存在不可译性。

| Abstract: | Puns are the uses of words or phrases in such a way as to suggest two or more meanings or different associations,or the use of two or more words of the same or nearly the same sound with different meanings,so as to produce a humorous effect in certain context.In translating English puns into Chinese puns or vise versa,in some cases,it is hard for translators to put all the senses of source language into target language,and some of the original meanings are missing or they are transferred to some extents.English puns and Chinese puns are not exaculy equivalents,intranslatability does exist in homophonic puns and homographic puns. |
