外向型城市化发展模式研究--珠江三角洲个案研究

学界对于城市化的研究历来都偏重于内力的研究,例如,侧重于区域经济的不同发展步伐;乡村、城市的人口流动状况;政府的地区性经济政策以及新城市建设规划等内力因素的营造,我们称其为内向型城市化发展模式.但是在资本、人力、技术和市场走向"全球化"的情况下,新的国际分工已成为一些发展中国家和地区的人口及经济活动急剧增长与集中的主要动力.中国的珠江三角洲在1978～2003年间的城市化,体现了这个新动力.其城市化发展可以概括为"外向型城市化"模式,本文对这一模式的特点、对社会经济结构的影响以及生命力做了分析.

A Study of the Development Mode of External-oriented Urbanization

The previous research on urbanization tends to lay emphasis on the internal force, for example, on the building up of internal force, which includes the various development speed in regional economy, the flow of population between rural and urban areas, the government's regional economic policy, and new urban construction plan, etc. It is regarded as the development mode of internal-oriented urbanization. However, with the globalization of capital, human resources, technology, and the markets, the new international division has already become the main impetus for the rapid increase and convergence of the population and the economic activities in some developing countries and regions. Such a new impetus has been illustrated by the urbanization over the Pearl River Delta of China from 1978 to 2002, which can be summarized as external-oriented urbanization. This paper analyzes the characteristics, the impact on the social economic structure and the vitality of the mode.
