| 摘 要： | 美国对尼泊尔的关注源自美国和苏联在亚洲的冷战。冷战期间，美国从意识形态角度出发，以援助为核心手段，力图影响尼泊尔王国政府。避免苏联共产主义对尼泊尔的影响和渗透。冷战后，尼泊尔在美国南亚战略中的地位与重要性已大不如前，美国对尼援助也随之大幅减少。九一一事件和尼泊尔反政府武装问题使得一度沉寂的双边关系再度焕发生机。随着尼泊尔国内政治危机的逐步化解，恢复和巩固尼泊尔的民主进程又成为美国关注尼泊尔的焦点及维持两国正常关系的基石。

| Abstract: | US＇ s attention to Nepal originated in the Cold War era when U. S. wanted a Nepal immune from Communist influence and ideology by providing aid and trying to intervene in the Nepalese government. In the post -Cold War era, Nepal＇ s importance in US South Asian strategy became less and less. Consequently, US＇s aid to Nepal was substantially reduced. However, the September l lth terrorist attacks and the Maoist insurgence in Nepal stimulated and renewed the bilateral relationship. With the end of internal political crisis in Nepal, restoration and consolidation of democracy in Nepal has become a cornerstone for US＇ s policies towards Nepal. |
