| 摘 要： | 雷州历史文化名人陈兰彬曾是晚清留美幼童的第一任监督，其后他担任了清廷派驻美国、西班牙、秘鲁的第一任公使。在其持续近九年的两项“第一”任职中．无论是作为留学监督还是驻外公使，陈兰彬都对华侨的权益做了竭尽所能的维护。

| Abstract: | Chen Lanbin was the first supervisor of the children sent to study in the United States in the late Qing dynasty, and also served as the first ambassador to the United States, Spain, and Peru. In nearly nine years as the student＇s supervisor and ambassador, Chen Lanbin did his best to proleet the interests of overseas Chinese. |
