摘    要:由于文化差异,翻译要做到绝对等值是不可能的。但译者应竭力处理好文化差异问题,使译文最大可能地接近原文。对文化差异的处理只能采取“求同存异”、而不能采取“舍异求同”的原则。我们翻译时,在符合译文语言规范的基础上,在不引起错误的联想或误解的前提下,可以尽量“存异”。“存异”既有助于读者扩大文化视野,获得知识和启迪,也有助于读者更好地比较两国文化,增加对译语国文化的理解,促进文化交流,还能丰富译语国语言。

Abstract:Differences between cultures make it impossible to achieve "absolute equi-valent translation". What is left for a translator to do is simply to exert hisutmost to get the maximum access to the original. The principle to deal withcultural differences is "to reserve differences while seeking common ground"rather than "to discard differences while seeking common ground". We can re-serve differences as much as possible on the premise that tee translation is inkeeping with the standard of the receptor language and leads to no misunderstan-ding or wrong association. "To reserve differences has its advantage: a)help readers to obtain new knowledge, gain enlightment and expand their fieldsof cultural vision; b)to help readers to make a better comparison betweencultures and acquire a deep understanding of the source language's culturethus promoting intercultural communications; and c) to, enrich the receptorlanguage.
