| 摘 要： | 霍布斯的政治学说使西方政治思想主题完成了从中世纪神学政治观到近代法学政治观的转变,为近代自由主义的产生和发展奠定了基础。霍布斯的自由观导致了其政治理论中自由前提和专制结论的矛盾。霍布斯对个人自由性质采取的工具主义态度是解读这一矛盾的关键所在。洛克和卢梭对霍布斯思想遗产进行了批判和继承,并在此基础上提出了不同的自由观,开创了自由主义的不同传统。

| Abstract: | Hobbes' theory on politics helps the theme of western politics change from the theological politics in the Middle Ages into the modern law politics. And this lays a foundation for the emergence and development of modern liberalism. In fact, Hpbbes' liberalist viewpoint leads to a contradiction between his premise: liberty and his conclusion: monarchy. And his instrumentalist attitude towards individual liberty is helpful to the in-terpretation of the contradiction. Locke and Rousseau critically developed his ideas by proposing a different liberalist view, and thus create another type of liberalism. |
