| 摘 要： | 英语和汉语产生于不同文化环境,所承载的文化背景也不相同,所以两种语言存在着差异。减译是翻译的一种正常现象,为了把原文信息译成译文信息,语言形式上的删减必不可少。减译不是减“义”,是翻译的一种变通手段。以英汉语言的规律性差异为切入点,以翻译理论为依据,阐释了减译的定义、本质。

| Abstract: | Chinese and English date back to different environment and background ,thus there lie many differences between them.Getting rid of the obstacles to the understanding is the main task of translation.Lessened translation is a normal means of translation.To make target readers a better understanding,cutting in meaning is necessary.Lessened translation does not refer to cutting short in meaning but flexible method to transfer the meaning better.This paper,from the point of regular Chinese and English differences,illustrates the definition,nature and concrete strategies of lessened translation. |
