Abstract:The present study focuses on the relevance between William Faulkner and Toni Morrison from the perspective of diaspora. It finds that Great Migration at the end of 19th centaury leads to further hybrid and racechange between the whites and blacks. The whites and blacks subconsciously assimilate with each other while also in violent race clashes. The works of these two writers provide us with a panoramic view of dislocation of southern race, identity, classes and culture.
Keywords:race  identity  class  dislocation
