从《湘山野录》《续录》看宋初佛教的贡献

佛教在经过隋唐的吸收和消化后,降及宋朝,虽然处于中国社会发展由盛转衰的转折期,但是其对当时社会、文化发展的作用却不容忽视。文章通过历来较少受学人所重视的笔记———《湘山野录》《续录》来探讨宋初佛教的贡献,认为其主要体现为:巩固政权,维护统治,促进两宋佛教的发展;促成了佛教在宋代的居士化,为宋型文化的形成奠定了基础;佛教思想的进一步传承。最终为宋代佛教和宋型文化的发展提供了便利,加快了佛教与中国传统文化的融合,成为中国传统文化不可或缺的组成部分。

Study on Contribution of Buddhism in the Early Song Dynasty Based on Xiang Mountain Unofficial Notes and Continued Notes

After the absorption and digestion of the Sui and Tang dynasties, Buddhism dropped to the Song Dynasty. Although it was in the turning point from the gloom to doom of China＇s social development, its contribution to the social and cultural development should not be overlooked. Based on Xiang Mountain Unofficial Notes and Continued Notes, two books to which little attention have been paid by important scholars, this paper tries to explore the contribution of Buddhism in the early Song Dynasty. Findings show that Buddhism contributed to the political power consolidation, maintenance of ruling, promotion of the development of Buddhism in the Song Dynasty, foundation of the Song culture, and the heritage of Buddhist thoughts. The two notes ultimately facilitated the development of Buddhism in the Song Dynasty and Song Culture and sped up the fusion of Buddhism and traditional Chinese culture, making the Buddhism become an integral part of the traditional Chinese culture.
