A General Class of Distributions: Properties and Applications

ABSTRACT

In this article, we derive a general class of distributions and establish its relationship to χ² distribution. The proposed class includes normal, inverse Gaussian, lognormal, gamma, Rayleigh, and Maxwell distributions. Various statistical properties of the class are discussed. Some applications of the class are given.
