西方国际关系研究中的分析层次

分析层次是西方国际关系学中的一个概念,它将影响国家在国际体系内行为的各种因素进行分类,以帮助人们确定如何去寻求国际关系问题的答案。一般认为,分析层次有三个:国际体系、民族国家和个人、国际体系层次考察外部因素（国际体系的性质和结构的变化）如何对国家的行为产生影响。国家层次讨论各民族国家的独特属性如何影响它们在国际体系内的行为。个人层次探索国家领导人对外交决策的作用和影响。以三个分析层次为基础衍生出了大量而丰富的西方国际关系学理论,其中许多理论看似相互竞争,本质上却是互补的,只有同时进行三个层次的综合系统分析,才有可能对国际关系问题作出较为全面和准确的解释。

Levels of Analysis in Western International Relations

Levels of analysis may be taken for categories of variables that can help people decide where to search for explanations of world affairs. It is generally accepted that there could be three levels of analysis: the international systemic level, the domestic level and the individual level. For each of the three levels of analysis there is a vast amount of rich and complex theories that attempt to explain the workings of world politics. Many of the theories appear to challenge and compete with one another, yet they actually turn out to be complementary. All these theorie help people see through the various issues of world politics by identifying its component parts and explaining how they interact.
