当代中国文化的转型及其发展趋势

当代中国文化转型实质是从传统文化向现代文化的转型。目前所谓的传统文化包含着三个基本方面:即中国古代传统文化、中国近代文化和传统观念下的社会主义文化。到改革开放之前,中国的文化建设已经基本完成了由中国古代传统文化向新民主主义文化进而向社会主义文化的过渡。正是在这个意义上,当代中国的由传统文化向现代文化的转型;就成为了一次由包含诸多文化形态因子的传统社会主义文化形态向现代社会主义文化形态的转换。当代中国文化转型的目标是现代社会主义文化形态,它是以个体自我文化意识为前提和依据的。因此,可以认为自我文化意识的确立是文化转型以及文化现代化的根本标志。当代中国文化转型总体发展趋势,是在此基础上的多元文化因子的融合发展。

On the Transformation of the Contemporary Chinese Culture and its Tendency of Development

Actually, the transformation of contemporary Chinese culture is the shift from traditional culture to modern culture. At present, the traditional culture comprises three parts: 1) the ancient traditional Chinese culture; 2) modern Chinese culture; 3) the traditional-culture-based socialist culture. Up to the time of Reformation and Opening to the outside world, the cultural construction in China had almost completed the transition from ancient Chinese culture to the New Democratic culture and then to the socialist culture. It is in this sense that the transformation of traditional culture into modern culture in contemporary China turns to be the shift from the pattern of traditional-culture-based socialist culture which comprises many cultural elements to the pattern of modern socialist culture. The aim of the transformation of Chinese culture is to establish the pattern of modern socialist culture which is based on the individual self-identified cultural consciousness. Therefore the establishment of the individual self-identified cultural consciousness is the remarkable sign of cultural transformation and cultural modernization. The overall tendency of the development of contemporary Chinese culture should be the integrated development of pluralist cultural elements based on the establishment of the individual self-identified cultural consciousness.
