大力发展转基因作物

随着社会经济的不断发展和人口的持续增加，我国农业面临着众多的严峻挑战。针对这些挑战，我国的科学家提出了第二次绿色革命，其内容概括为“少投入、多产出、保护环境”。而近年来兴起的转基因技术将为第二次绿色革命的实现起到重要的作用。目前，国内外转基因技术的研究取得了大量成果，我国转基因作物的研发也取得了很大进展。转基因作物自1996年开始在全球大规模地商品化种植以来，已经带来了巨大的经济效益和环境效益。转基因抗虫棉花已经在我国大面积种植，2008年我国转基因棉花的种植面积380万公顷，占我国棉花总种植面积的66％。大力发展转基因作物对于我国的农业增产、农民增收以及农业的可持续发展将起到巨大的支撑作用。此外，在大力发展转基因作物的同时，还应制定严格的转基因生物安全管理规则和制度，在让转基因作物的技术优势得到充分发挥的同时避免其潜在的风险。
