The Formation and Social Significance of the Labor Distribution by Gender During the English Industrialization

The English Industrial Revolution is an economic reform as well as a cultural reconstruction process and that of labor division by gender.The division of function in gender in this society becomes the central issue of cultural reconstruction.With the inheritance of some historical tradition,the evolving forms of the division also feels further impact from such factors as diversity of industrialization,redistribution of labor,class consciousness and class struggles.The study of the process of industrialization out of the angle of gender in society will help us more profoundly understand women's social status,their contribution,and even further connotation of Industrial Revolution.
