Effects of sustainable development strategies on the nation's technological thoughts

In the 20th century, human society achieved grand developments in economy, culture, and other important fields. However, the economic development brought severe damages to resources and environment which are leading to an unsustainable development. Traditional technological thoughts emphasized on increasing development but not on protection of the natural world and resources. Attention is only paid to the economic benefits rather than the social ones and the economic development is at the sacrifice of damages to resources and environment. Modifications should be made to the traditional technological thoughts so as to facilitate the sustainable development in the 21st century.
