| Abstract: | From the aesthetics of acceptance, the kinds and functions of the blanks in Dream of Red Mansion is discussed. Focus is particularly on the research of the process of readers' acceptance of the text, especially their filling of the blanks. A conclusion is made that the everlasting charm of Dream of Red Mansion lies in that the author stresses the interaction between the artistic text and the readers. [ |
