| 摘 要： | 《法显传》是中国古代最为重要的求法僧游记之一,已被译成多种外国语言文字,特别是英文。但中国学界对《法显传》的英译情况了解不深,所述常有疏漏错误之处。基于此,着力向读者展示19世纪问世的4种《法显传》(1848-1886年)英文译本的具体情况,包括译者、出版机构、出版时间、译本特点等。

| Abstract: | Fa Xian Zhuan,which is one of the most important Buddhist travel notes in early China,has been translated into quite a few foreign languages,especially English.However,Chinese scholars haven′t learned enough about the English translations of Fa Xian Zhuan.Accordingly,this paper intends to show readers the details of four 19th century English translations of Fa Xian Zhuan(1848-1886),including translators,publishing institutions,publishing time and translation styles. |
