| Abstract: | Along with the development of the market economy, establishing an appropriate mechanism for competition is sure to be an inevitable course in running institutions of higher learning. This article argues that establishment of a mechanism for competition in the institutions of higher learning necessitates adoption of a comprehensive and elastic credit system, a system of evaluation for higher education, a system of teacher assessment and award, and an administrative system with course control as its core. |
