| 摘 要： | 在英语语篇中，名词性词语是实现参与者的重要语法策略。将语篇中的名词性词语分为指称性名词性词语（涉及对参与者的首次提及）和照应性名词性词语（涉及对参与者的再次或多次提及）。实现参与者首次、再次、多次提及的名词性词语，构成了语篇照应或链状照应结构。

| Abstract: | Nominal groups provide the main grammatical resources for identifying participants. In this article, we classify the nominal groups in English discourse into two kinds： referential （associated with first mention of participant） and phoric （associated with subsequent mention of participant）. First and subsequent mentions of the participant（s） form discourse phoricity and reference chains. |
