Reification or Emotionallization:An Inevitable Dilemma in The Study of Sociology

The phenomena of reification are one of the most important and unique viewpoints to analyze the market-directed society. Reification and the formation of "reification time" have spread to many aspects of our society. They are not only the soil from which sociology survives but also exerting a series of influence on today's society. This essay discusses about the great challenges caused by reification and the possible response of sociology. It involves critical reviews and thorough introspection to many of the basic concepts and theories of the traditional sociology. For example, the research objects of sociology, the angle of view of sociology, the socialization the social modernization and so on.
