Adorno's Discussion on the Non-identical Characteristics of Modern Art

To Adorno’s eye, modern art not only manifests the non-identity, but works together with it to resist the industry civilization and deny the capitalism which is managed wholly. The characteristics of modern art——fragment、 riddle、dynamic、illusion,and so on,are coincident with the thought of non-identical. That’s why modern art becomes the ideal art to Adorno and is praised highly by the latter.
