摘    要:1965年新加坡独立 ,鉴于当时国际关系的影响和东西方冷战的制约 ,新加坡采取了追求认同东南亚、认同马来亚、迅速“脱华”的政策。华语虽是新加坡多数民族———华族的母语过 ,但新国家领导人出于政治、经济和文化的多重考虑 ,未将华语定为国语 ,华文华语的使用价值每况愈下。 2 0世纪 90年代后 ,国家重新重视华文教育 ,采取各种措施 ,提高母语教育水平 ,但华族的母语教育前景仍不容乐观

Abstract:Singapore proclaimed independence in the year of 1965. Whereas restricted by the international relations and the cold war between the East and the West, the Singapore government adopted a policy that seeked to identify with South east Asia and Malaya while shaking off Chinese influence rapidly. Though Chinese was the mother tongue of the major nationality in Singapore, the state leaders didn't regard Chinese as its official language, and the use value of Chinese went from bad to worse. Since the 1990s, Chinese education has received recognition afresh from the Singapore government. The government has adopted various measures to improve the level of Chinese education, but the prospects for the Chinese education isn't optimistic yet.
