| Abstract: | This essay gives a short discussion on the origin and development of the Hades Ground-Certificates and Tomb-Calmed Writings,especially on the scholars' records of their usage and unearth since the North Song Dynasty and the research for them from the Qing Dynasty to the present age.There are multiple significances for these researches.And,in linguistic and philology,they are also great values.While they keep the folk colloquial prototypes of the ancient times,they prove that both Chinese new characters and new styles of calligraphy derive from the activities of folk writings. |
