| Abstract: | Based on the schema theory, the cultural schemata are introduced into the translation of English cultural terms. The translator's adequate cultural schemata are essential to the understanding of the English cultural terms and the target readership' existing schemata and the cultural exchanges should be taken into consideration when the English cultural terms are translated into Chinese through different translating strategies. |
