The story of logic: a comparison between subjects and history

There are two introductions and two interruptions in the study of western logic in China. The development of western logic has three peaks and one interruption. The social cultural function of logic is mainly its criticality, not its general appeal to logic. The development of logic is a process of relying on other subjects including language, mathematics, natural philosophy and jurisprudence which probably will become a new mode of development of logic. Dialectic logic is a branch of philosophical logic. Keeping a free mind is the condition for discovering and inventing.
