摘    要:当前,阅读心理学理论的发展,对提高读者的英语阅读技能提供了理论依据和训练手段,因而了解并研究阅读心理学对提高学生阅读英语的技能和效率无疑是有益的。如果大学英语的阅读教学不是单纯地以增加词汇量为目的,而是以训练学生良好的阅读心理素质从而达到有效的阅读为宗旨,那么,我们就能帮助学生突破传统阅读的羁绊。文章从理论和实践两个方面阐述了培养学生阅读理解心理能力的必要性及作用。

Abstract:The current study on reading psychology has provided both a theoretical foundation and an approach to drilling the EFL readers for improving their reading skills. Hence, conducting a research into reading psychology benefits undoubtedly, helping improve the reading skills of college students and promote their reading efficiency. If college English reading aims not just simply to enlarge students' vocabulary but also to develop their psychological competence in English reading, they can be helped to overcome the difficulty caused by the traditional way of reading. With a theoretical and practical discussion, this paper explicates both the necessity and benefits of cultivating students' psychological ability in reading.
