The Influence of Nuo Opera Art and Symbol on Its Inheritance and Evolution

Nuo Opera, as an important branch and carrier of Chinese culture, has experienced a long historical development and it still proves to be vigorous in many regions. This essay starts from the artistic form of Nuo opera, i.e. the performance, dance, design and other aspects, attempting to further probe into the functions of art and aesthetic values upon the inheritance and evolution of Nuo opera. Moreover, it tries to reveal a symbolic, functional meaning and artistic value of Nuo opera in terms of its origin and development.
