新中国初期电影政策的历史启示

Historical Implications of China's Policies on Movie during the 1950s

The early years of the People s Republic of China saw the formulation and implementation of many government policies on movie in the light of the historical tradition and realistic property of Chinese movies.These policies were special in that,while having played significant roles in facilitating the growth of Chinese movies,they were also an important obstacle to the further development of the latter.Their complicated and contradictory roles are with profound implications： First,government policy on movie is the wind vane and weather glass to the development of social culture, which boosts the growth of movies when meeting the requirements and features of the society and the times, and retards or even reverses the progress of the latter on the contrary. Secondly, the government policy on movie should be consistent with that on literature and art, and be with its own features ; its formulation and implementation should be in the light of the internal laws and essential characteristics and functions of movie culture. Thirdly, the making and carrying out of the policy on movie should be preceded by the understanding of the social status and roles of movie culture, centered by the development of the movie cause and industry, and aimed at higher social and economic benefits for movies.
