At present, in the process of constructing and perfecting the socialist market-economy, especially in the period when some people have a wrong understanding of the value of honor and disgrace because of interest-lured goals, we should adopt the good elements of the Confucian concept on honor and disgrace to suit ourselves and develop a concept on honor and disgrace suiting the present-day market economy.
