| 摘 要： | 关于奥斯丁的小说<诺桑觉寺>,一般认为其中存在着双重主题--爱情主题以及对哥特小说的嘲讽,但这种双主题的观念,相对来说较为表面化,不利于我们真正解读奥斯丁作品的微妙之处,本文将从<诺桑觉寺>的人物、环境及叙述视角入手进行探讨,指出该小说的主题在于通过描述女主角走出各种两难处境的历程,揭示理性之于女性的重要意义.

| Abstract: | In Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey , there exists a double theme-love and irony to the Gothic novels. This is a popular point of view held by academia. But comparatively speaking , this view of double theme is very superficial , which helps little for us to understand the delicacy of the novel. This paper, by analyzing the roles, the setting and the narrative point of view, discusses the theme in Northanger Abbey, which is, by narrating how the heroine goes out of several kinds of dilemmas, to reveal the importance of sense to female. |
