| Abstract: | Something was amiss with the annotations on the original meanings of the words shi, yu. jian, ti, hi, ling, geng, bang, etc ! in the book"Ancient Chinese Language"chiefly compiled by Mr, Zhu zhenjia. Perhaps it was because the compilers had not carefully analysed the shapes of these chinese characters and not yet collected enough language materials to support their own views. |
