和谐文化：大学文化建设的使命

通过对和谐文化的意蕴、作用、地位的分析，指出和谐文化是历史反思与时代发展的契合，是构建社会主义和谐社会的有机组成部分；通过对大学文化内涵与精神内核的分析，指出和谐文化是大学文化的本质需求和目标追求；提出构建和谐大学必须提高文化自觉，必须以社会主义核心价值体系为根本，大学文化在和谐文化建设中必须承担起自己的历史使命。

Harmonious Culture： The Mission in University Cultural Construction

Based on an analysis of its meaning, role and status, this paper first points out that harmonious culture is the result of historical reflection and social development and an integral part of a harmonious socialist society. Then by studying the connotation and the spiritual core of university culture, it maintains that harmony is what is inherently needed in university culture and also its end. Last, this paper proposes that cultural awareness should be enhanced and the socialist core value system should be the foundation in the construction of a harmonious university culture and that universities should play their role in building up a harmonious culture.
